Day of finnish&carelian epos Kalevala is hold every year on February, 28. On that day in 1835 famous finnish scientist Elias Lönnrot presented his epic creature “Kalevala”, based on a finnish, carelian and ingrian folk poetry. That poetry Elias Lönnrot searched and wrote down from villages all over the Baltic region of North-West.
